The Aadhaar card is one of the mandatory documents used as the most preferred ID proof in India. It is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India or UIDAI, and provides a unique 12 digit number to every individual, even children. It is no wonder then that the Aadhaar card has become one of the most sought-after documents for almost all government as well as private services wherever ID proof is required. From opening a bank account to filling up the examination forms, it is needed everywhere. However, there are several services, especially related to banking and finance where you might face problems if your valid mobile number is not linked with your Aadhaar. For example, if you’re applying for a credit card, you will be required to verify Aadhaar card details via an OTP, which is sent to the linked mobile number. Hence, it is mandatory to keep it updated and link your valid mobile number to your Aadhaar ID.
